These are the caterpillars of the processionary moths, a small family of moths.They go out on feeding expeditions together, in a neat line, a procession. The Oak processionary moth and its caterpillars have
recently been found in Britain, probably the result of accidental importation on timber.It's a native of central and
southern Europe but has setled here now, in the London area.
