I don't believe in eternity as in "after-life", but as in "memories". What you do makes you who and what you are, it's your choice what you want to be remembered by.
why? why would what we do in life "echo in eternity"?
why do we care about eternity? we dont live long enough to experience eternity - otherwise you would have a fair point. your statement would even make sense. But we dont.
do you mean spiritually? then anything goes with spirituality.
What we do in life, may very well echo how we live our lives, it may curve our opinions based upon our very experiences. And of course, this isnt just by what we do in life, how we live can also be affected by the things we cant control in our lives. Such are where were born, what were born into etc.
Personally, i dont agree with your statement - simply because you haven backed it up with ANYTHING. Its just a generic everyday thing you see on fridge magnets, those cheesy cards and on the back of mugs. even worse.
ultimatley, i ask you, why do you care? why should we care?
Just going off on a tangent,.. ray where have you been, we've all missed you and your wildlife over on animals and nature. We need some wildlife threads again.
Dannyday what on earth are you talking about? you have quite possibly won the 2008 award for the most rambling nonsensical answer ever seen in cyberspace,
oh come off it will ya - you all know i write rubbish - worse still why did you read my response? isnt it obvious i dont have anything else better to do other than type nonsense? here, watch ill type some more nonsense.
What he means is what we do in life reverberates long after we have gone, that is true whether we believe in an afterlife or not, that is all it is nothing more or less.
Why turn a simple post into a heated debate about spirituality,
Hi madabout, hope you are well, will be over on that part on the weekend, computer been down, lots to talk about, speak soon, take care, Ray
Hiya Knobby, hope your ok, eloping next month with Julie, will message you soon and we can swap e-mails, be good QPR be up with the Gunners next year matey.
I'll be emailing everybody soon, but I've been busy, computer's been down, had to go to Tescos, indeed anything more important than emailing all you lovely people. Whoops. Take Care.
well i still dont understand how can what i do now "reverberate...long after we have gone" what exactly is it that reverberates? Hmm? You cant just say things like this without examples. Otherwise you can say anything about anything and what? its assumed to be right? okay - i can stand next to an atom bomb when it explodes and survive. I havent said why or how, but hey it must be right because i just said so.
Ok, ill give you an example, and maybe then you can tell me how my actions would reverberate long after im gone.
I kill someone. I go to jail. Family of murder victim very sad. Of course. Time passes. I die. One by one every member of the murder victims family dies. Eventually, everyone involved as a result of my actions will die, and sudenly, my action is forgotten. or rather lost in an archieve of newspapers and random internet pages. Forgotten until someone stumbles across it one day. So what? Their most likley to be someone totally unconnected with the murder.
So how, how the hell does me killing some reverberate long after im gone?
