Help! My Vauxhall Tigra fuel just keeps growling!!!!!

My Tigra has developed a fault. The fuel doesnt cut off the excellelator pedal and cable are ok (checked by the AA) but the engine is reving up to 4000rpm....Help! I can't stop! whats wrong with it? Im just a little pussy cat who doesn't know about these things. I just play with them

it,s probably the tick over control valve playing up.it,s a common problem on the vauxhall ecotec engine.

also check that there is no splits in any induction hoses
