it does contain three mannequins and a Snoopy soft toy gauging radiation levels

no beagles will be hurt in the making of this film. Good show!
What a terrible waste of money.
I find it hard to get excited about this. It does seem like spending a huge amount of money to send Snoopy to the moon.

We should try to improve life on this planet for all its inhabitants instead.

We've been trying that for many years, wolfy. Doesn't work for a number of reasons (not least because there are far too many of those inhabitants) so we might as well try something else.

Could they not have tried something cheaper?
Witnessed by my cousin who lives nearby but she’s not posted since so I hope she’s ok (!)
ichkeria - she might have heard Trump announce hit potential return to politics and decided to run off with Snoopy.
She’s a bit of a Trump fan I’m afraid: well, “God-fearing” Republican at any rate. She may have the hots for DeSantis by now of course.
I feel slightly ill now …
Now they want a black person and a woman on the crew to the Moon - How about the Duchess of Sussex as a candidate? Could become the first resident up there?

I really think that we've got a better chance of making a habitable planet by starting off improving the one we've already got, rather than attempting to turn a chunk of airless scorching rock into a nice place.
Good to see they're trying something, even though it's a bit of a case of, "We've been there, done that".

Bit weird though that the evening news seemed to think it was important that "a woman" and "a person of colour" was to be sent to the moon. Like gender or skin colour (no matter how stupidly described) could possibly matter. Perhaps it's vital they send all of LGBTQQIP2SAA just so no one is left out.
There's an accompanying book for an in-depth info blast.

Space Exploration For Dummies.
wolf63 16:53, have you got a mobile phone?
If it's an emergency you can use mine Tora.
Using rocket propulsion is a hopeless way ot trying to escape from this planet, never mind our solar system. The yanks have been bragging for years about their reverse engineering of UFO's and nothing overt has emerged from it. I'm sure they are working hard, inspired by their observations of UAP's, but they're a bit like the Cargo Culture people who thought that making wooden imitations of hadphones and levelling patches of forest would attract gods from above.
I don't know if Q has any inside information on this. Spicey - any inside knowledge?
Good luck to snoopy.....poor beagle. Are they aiming to get the capsule back to Earth?
From https://www.nasa.gov/content/artemis-i-overview :
"The primary operations goal of the mission is to assure a safe crew module entry, descent, splashdown, and recovery"

Thanks, Etch.
Can we send Harry and MeAgain…. Oh and Andrew likes flying to far away places …
