How can clouds of gas in the vacuum of space coalesce to produce the enormous pressures and temperatures necessary to begin fusion?

Theland - I am confused.
On the one hand, as a Christian, you beieve that God created the universe, and you believe that he can, and maybe did so with merely a simple wish - as is within his power.
Then on the other hand, you say you cannot dismiss what science has to say on the subject - with evidence still coming in, and scientists unsure of the origin, unlike yourself who beleives that God made it.
So why are you hedging your bets?
Surely constantly quoted belief in the bible's words confirms that God created everything - the how and when are fine print - but nonetheless, why would you entertain any other possibility?

there was no way of measuring how many days anything took until the sun and Earth were properly sorted out. In fact it still hasn't been, as the days have been getting shorter lately

It serves and switches to suit the question, but it's always ready, right on cue.
Like all fervents on here, you have answers that appear to back your stance with your conviction that your God does everything - but in reality, your answers actually say nothing at all.

Yes, I attribute everything to God, but I seem to have failed to explain that the mechanisms God uses to create and sustain His creation, are ours to discover using the tools of science, but that science has its limits, and we live in a time when it appears that science has begun to show up its limitations.
The Bible is both simple and complicated.
Simple to read, story after story, but not always simply understood.
One part of the bible will shine a light on another. One part will interpret another.
When read alongside history, and contemporary events, it becomes clearer and clearer.
Probably the most convincing argument for the truth of the bible is fulfilled prophecy, and that is something that can be checked out by anybody.
Of course, there are always cries of foul, unfulfilled prophecy, and these are hastily seized upon by bible critics, but even though some of these remain problematic, they are far outweighed by the accuracy of fulfilled prophecy, and, just as important, the contemporary harbingers of what is coming soon, reflected in world events, coming together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, where the bigger picture begins to emerge.
You describe me as a fervent, and I'm glad you did, as I am indeed passionate for God, which brings me to my final point, the fact that God is in my life, with a closeness that is real, tangible, and forever experienced, in answered prayer, comfort, and love.

theland is a religious fruitcake, all his questions are designed to verify that everything is the work of "god". The pattern is familiar. Ask a seemingly valid question about science then seize on the slightest absence of an explanation as proof positive that his "god" is responsible. tada! I suppose we are the mus for indulging him though I suppose there is a bit of selfishness there as I quite enjoy these sorts of scientific discussions even though they are a vehicle for the OP.
