What formation of stars point to the North Star?
( I have read about the 'Big Dipper' the 'Plough' ' Ursa Major' and now totally confused)

If you imagine the plough as a sauce pan,
the 2 stars that form the side furthest from the "handle" the "top" one of the two is in line with the North star. Does that make sense?

Thanks jan, I will put the plough as the answer.
think they call it the big dipper in America and the Plough in England , both being the same group of stars .
