It doesn't follow that because something already exists it can't be useful; Aspirin was invented 120 years ago (for rheumatism) and its efficacy for other ailments has been discovered still recently.

Chloroquine Phosphate the anti malaria treatment was flagged up some weeks ago as helpful in some cases for people who had the virus. It was first recognised some months ago in Wuhan China. I tried to buy some a few weeks ago.......not a chance......and the prices are now astronomical.
