Also had his top button undone and tie was loose.
I thought he could be something interesting in politics but if this is how he is starting god knows how it is going to end!

Retro; I think this even better, http: //thebackbencher.co.uk/corbyn-appoints-an-absolute-madman-as-shadow-chancellor/
I have to give you the whole enchilada 'cos I can't do tiny urls
I think Mr Corbin is an avowed Republican - so it is a gesture, at least he cannot be accused of hypocrisy.
I never stand for or sing the national anthem.... I am pleased that he follows his conscience and does not follow blindly. Why should some pretend respect when it doesn't exist?

Because he is trying to be a statesman!
divebuddy, //I wouldn't be surprised if Corbyn ends up a broken, gibbering wreck. //

That's exactly what I thought when I was watching him speak. He doesn't appear to be at all well.
Didn't the Right wing press try the same smear on Tony Benn, the 'Loony Leftist'?
A laughing stock - totally unelectable - the Labour Party have collectively lost their minds!

Corbyn himself, in his attitudes, is like an impressionable sixth-former, full of causes and opinions but hasn't yet got a grown-up view of the real world - time for him and the Labour Party to grow up!

sandyRoe - "Didn't the Right wing press try the same smear on Tony Benn, the 'Loony Leftist'?"

They did - often because Mr Benn has an unfortunate 'staring' appearance in photographs which was easily lampooned.

What could not be mocked was what he actually said.

I heard him speak in the Politics Tent at Glastonbury a few years ago, and I spent the entire time mesmerised by the unarguable common sense of what he said, and I nodded throughout, and joined in the massive applause when he finished speaking.
He is now the leader of Her Majesty's loyal opposition and will automatically become a member of Her Majesty's Privy Council. Enjoy, Jeremy. You might get to like it.

I've been a Labour voter all of my life, last time I voted UKIP because I wanted to protest and wanted a change, Corbyn i'm afraid, will not convince me to go back to Labour, ''we're doomed''!
There will be a new party shortly, centre-right of the Labour party and the champagne-socialists of the Lib Dems....do not fret st.peter....mikey may though.
Where are the big beasts, the Jenkins, Owens, and Williams, who could give this new party weight?
You need someone with a Gannex and a briar.....
