Hi, can anyone help please q water has a specific heat capacity of 4200j/kg/c how much energy is supplied to a mass of 4.5kg of water when heated from 20-65c and
Q what is the input power of a ps4 and xbox1 which is more efficient
Your figure quotes 4200 joules per kilogramme so (ignoring the 'per degree Celsius' bit for the moment) that's 4200 x 4.5j = 18900 joules.
However that's the amount of energy required to heat the water by just one degree but you need to heat it by 45 degrees:
18900 x 45 = 850500 joules = 850.5Kj
