Many years ago we used to see thrushes regularly and also the snail shells they left behind. I haven't seen one for years.

Plenty in my local park. I often see them when walking my dog and my Mum has two missle thrushes in her garden who have been coming back for years. I love these birds.
There's two in my back garden right now. They always seem timid and get chased away by blackbirds etc.

Loads here.....Loads of all birds here....costing me a fortune !!!
Luckily, I get the occasional song thrush coming to the garden and today I saw a pair of mistle thrushes in next doors garden, at first I thought the where green wood peckers, as they are a similar shape and size.

The use of pesticides and toxic slug pellets have been blamed for the decline in numbers.
Gone to pussy cats every one, when will they ever learn, when will they ever learn.
Well said, Canary42!
I agree, flamin' cats !
One at my mother's, now eating out of her hand and demands regular feeding.
Eating out of her hand - wow that's fantastic !
Gone from here too, beautiful birds, have just disappeared over the years.
