Is the condensate water? If so, one metric tonne (1000 kg.) =1000 litres = one cubic metre.
If the condensate is other than condensed steam, then the density of the liquid needs to be known for the calculation.
dependson the condensate, but a rate of 0.75 will get you close.
divide not multiply if starting from tonnes.

Sorry,

I should have been a bit clearer.

I want to convert gas condensate & oil condensate from metric tonnes to sm3.

You want to convert to sm³

Will this help?
http://www.sigma2c.com/conversions/standard/volume/
then you definitely need densities
and pay attention to the units

Thanks all,

So just to confirm,

For 1 metric tonne with a condensate density = 0.75, then 1 metric tonne x 0.75 would give the sm3 equivalent?

Is that correct?

Thanks again.

BW
erm no: its is mass/volume = density

and if mass is in metric tonnes and volumes in in cu m then the density is tonnes/cu m

and so..... mass / density = volume by simple arith manipulation

and so x tonnes divided by 0.75 will give you the volume in cu m

Sorry about that it has taken a few days to get the answer
