I recently bought a torch which had a price sticker on lens,to remove I used a proprietory brand of remover to clear adhesive and it has blurred the lens,is there anything I can do to restore the clearness of the PLASTIC lens?

You should have used WD40, it doesn't melt plastic. If the lens is removable you can use very fine 'wet and dry' abrasive paper. finishing with ' T-Cut car polish. But if you don't already have these items it might be cheaper to buy a new torch.

khandro,thank you for your reply,it is a hard lesson learned I shall know to use WD40 next time!
Try the Tcut first, it may well do the job without any need for wet or dry. If you do need wet or dry, try 600 grade first.
We use to use metal polish on TV screens that were scratched . It's a long process but it worked. Another thing you can try is Jewellers rouge.
But is it worth the effort ?
I've used Brasso on CDs before, might be worth a shot on your torch lens.
I guess it depends on why it is no longer clear though. And how far from the surface any damage has occurred. If all else fails, maybe you can discard the lens and get your local glass cutter to cut you a circle of the required diameter.
