Dont know if the Mayor was given a name,alba...His town clerk was Mr Troop.
Did he ever have a name Alba or was he just called ' the Mayor'?
Camberwick green, I used to be glued to the telly waiting to see who would pop out of the box at the start of the show each day, windy miller of course was the star for me.

The Woodentops I think was more Mr Alba's generation. I can say that as he's not here at the moment!!!

I also liked Listen With Mother.
Tales of the Riverbank...but even at a tender age,I still had Hammy down as a Goody 2 Shoes!
