I've entered a couple of times (pardon missus?) and seem to have got 1 point on some leaderboard.

However, like yourself, I have no idea what's going on there, lol.
They are two separate games, sherrard - I know that KM Links is connected to soemthing else but I have no idea what, I just join in on a Saturday morning! Seekerz in Oz sets the KM Links, she gives 4 words and you have to use those words to make other short phrases (e.g. if it was CROWN it could be crown jewels or crown roast or...) and if you get them right you get a point, if you're the first one to get it right, you get 2 (etc). MM Links is similar (but set by ladyalex this week) but you get a lot more "clues" - which I still don't get right. I am sure there is a more serious explanation of both, but I just like having a stab at them and seeing how I get on. (I hope this makes sense!)

Thanks for the answers - just seems a bit random really. I will have to have a proper look at old posts to see if it makes any sense (bit late now, will maybe have a look tomorrow - but will probably have forgotten all about it by then).
I think that the key words are the result of other clues set in ???one of the newspapers - but not sure.
KM is Kate Mepham who sets the Saturday Telegraph GK Crossword.
MM is Michael Mepham, Kates late father who used to set the Saturday Telegraph GK crossword .
The MM link is in the memory of Micheal Mepham who died very suddenly a few years ago ..
The links are four shaded clues in the Saturday Telegraph crossword which then link up to four more shaded clues in Mondays Herculis crossword in the Daily Telegraph.
look in the weekend section of the Daily Telegraph

Thanks for that Shaney Star (wondered if they were linked to the Telegraph setters), just wondered what the rules were or are, is it linked to the actual Telegraph crosswords?
Thaks for the explanations, shaneystar and baitress - I don't see the Telegraph, but the games are good fun on here.
If you guess correctly for the the KM links then you get points .This is by the newspaper version. So Saturdays and Mondays links have to be correct according to the paper .

The MM links are set by an ABer..So top of the board gets to set the next months links .
They're just for fun, or in the case of the MM links for the honour of setting next month's links...which I, preen, preen, have achieved this month.

KM Links...Sat Tel GK crossword grey shaded words link with Monday Telegraph Herculis grey shaded words. You try to guess what the Monday words will be .

MM links, setter sets 4 words, you guess what his/her link words are (they have already been given to crofter who runs the show) and get your points or not on a Sunday night about 7pm.
Everybody's welcome to have a go
