It appears there could be an error in the question.
World Test records. Longest innings without scoring.
1998-99 Geoff Allott 0 v South Africa. At Auckland.
Allott, in 1999 batted for a full 101 minutes without even producing a single scoring stroke. He contributed zero to a partnership of 32 with Chris Harris.
101 minutes is 1 minute over one hour forty minutes which is what the question asks.
Yes Dodger666. But Geoff Allott was dismissed for 0. The question says 'not out'.

The current record is held by Geoff Allott of New Zealand, who batted for 101 minutes before being dismissed for a duck against South Africa at Auckland in 1998-99.

Thank you for your answers. I have done a lot of checking myself and I had found the information about Allot and the fact that he was dismissed, but I was hoping that someone out there might know more about cricket than I do. The question says, to quote it verbatim, Who took just over an hour and 40 minutes to score a test none (not out ) in 1999 ? If you notice I did ask, is it cricket, in the title. Are there any other sports where this terminolgy could fit.? Thanks again for your help
I presume you've seen the updates OTR??
