Cairngorms?
These seem to cover a wide area.. http://en.wikipedia.o...ki/Cambrian_Mountains
Perhaps Grampians is a better answer. I think the Cairngorns are part of the Grampians
a good reason for having a split between England & Scotland me thinks.......
MrsM, the Pennines are often referred to as mountains although strictly speaking, they are not high enough. This one was discussed at some length over the weekend, the consensus seemed to be that the setter meant Pennines.
