What a shame for me, all your lovely suggestions are up North, I live in Hampshire!
Thanks for the answers. I will have to do a trip up the M42. on to Liverpool docks to Franks place, round to champipples house. Plane to County Mayo to ummmms ex mother in law,stop off at Mespil Hotel Dublin......... Quick stop at ttfns place for toast and coffee lunch. Drive on up to King Street cafe in Perth, and on to Peebles Hydro for a stunner!!!!!!!!!!!

There used to be a greasy spoon down in Gosport that did a cracking old-fashioned fry-up! Gorgeous it was, and a great hangover cure!
