This is a thanks Squarebear for the answer given in his other post. Perfect illustration to the AB ed and Spare Ed, that the main requirement on here, and Crosswords, is to lay out in the question box simple instructions, ending with and give acknowledgement/thanks in same thread. But hey wallykins gave the newspaper so that is all they are concentrating on right now. I think it is time I gave up on Answerbank as I have said all this so many times and they do not care.

no it isnt a thanks! I have just worked out that he is giving the letters that he does know of the answer, but without the blanks! E??D?T?C, which has been answered by Novalis as Eidetic in the original post. Sigh ..... It just gets worse and worse.

Yep but yes, as you say, he gave the name of the newspaper so everything's ok :-)
