Jeremye is adorable, but he doesn't give answers to unanswered questions, leaving me (and probably a lot of others) very frustrated!! The question was which european country on the Medn sea has the longest coastline??? Husband thinks Italy, I think Spain. He's probably right, and Portugal takes a lot. Please, out us out of our sad misery!!!

I don't recall the word 'European' being used in the question. Assuming it wasn't then Algeria is the largest.

Just looked at it on iPlayer and the question was:-

"In terms of land area, which is the largest country with a Mediterranean coastline?"

(so it's about area and no mention of Europe)

Thanks for confirming what I thought the question was hence Algeria by quite some margin. Several people on here have proved why 'eye-witness'(or 'ear-witness') accounts should not be given too much credence.

I am sad that everyone seems to have overlooked boxtops answer,which I also happen to think is the correct one.
If you add ALL the coastlines of ALL the Greek islands they must exceed any mainland Med country coastline by quite a bit!
