There was two programmes on ummm, one about the calls made from the towers by people trapped and another with unseen video footage, hard to believe it was 8 years ago
I know...it's gone quick. Is there anything on tomorrow?
I remember when it happened, my boss was watching an American channel, He called us in to his office and we watched it happen. Nobody knew what to say, it was horrific, it is hard to inagine what is was like for the victims and their families.

Sometimes it seems a lifetime away.......my sister-in-law was supposed to be there that day.......
I was in a sports shop and must have been looking at stuff near the speakers (small sports shop) I turned round and told everyone to shut up a minute and listen. He turned up the radio and we all just stood still and listened to it.

I went to the gym after but didn't work out. We had about 50 screens showing us...sickening.

Fook all down in the TV listings..perhaps they are all too busy following Katie and Pete
I saw a bit of the phonecalls from the towers one - but it was so sad it made me cry and I had to turn it off as I found it too depressing and then for some weird reason I decided to watch the 101 minutes of 9/11 or whatever it was called and found the same with that

Seeing it again was so bizarre and they keep bringing out unseen footage so it does interest and shock and depress me all in one
How interesting!!!!!!!
I too saw those 2 programs,ELVIS.....heartrending.......the young women witnessing the second plane hitting the tower-then fleeing their own apartment within seconds. The screams......
Not you Karma....Peter and Katie.

Ummmm, explain?

Oops..ummmm don`t explain
Not as much as others -Dunblane was more horrific to me.The subsequent loss of lives in the Gulf War after 9/11 has been more profound.

That doesnt detract from the horror though but I dont think it was as catastrophic as say the holocaust.

It still was a dreadful deed though and I obviously will think of the peope affected.

I suppose when you have lived with grief and tried to put your life and your childrens back on track then you become a bit blase about other peoples grief like they arent worried about our 'little' accident which was catastrophic but wasnt a big deal to others so why put energy into caring about theirs.Sad but true -dont have the energy to really have time for anyone elses at the moment.
lol :-)
lol
I should think that if you have suffered a great loss and grief-then you would be MORE sympathetic,as you could feel what others feel.

The phone calls from the tower programme was more heartwrenching because most of the callers were unaware of what had happened, hard to believe people in the second tower were told to stay at thier desks even though they knew a plane had hit the first tower
