Finding this one quite a struggle, and would appreciate clues for the following;

13. Which high flier got caught on March 10th?
16. Who had a peaceful Dutch sleepover.
49. When the third light became 3, 2 and 1.
51. Which on course striker was struck.
55. What passed from Denise to Louis.

All answers relate to events/culture of the 1960s.

Many thanks.

16 John Lennon & Yoko Ono
I haven't had time to look through this site yet but it looks quite good - http://www.sixtiescity.com
The only ones I can help you on are 13 - look up March 10th 1965 and look for a story involving a bird, and 16 look at the Beatles.
I am still struggling with the rest myself.
Good luck.
51 John White (Tottenham footballer struck by lightning whilst sheltering under a tree)

Thank you both, for those. I should have been able to get them - I'm more than old enough to remember both events - but they just wouldn't come to me.

51 is Golfer John White who was struck by lightening while on the golf course.

Do you have an answer for "flower for a likely lady"?
49 is to do with radio stations
Question Author
Well, was he a footballer or a golfer? I'll try to find out.
Not really got anything I'm very happy with for No. 48, JimJools. Seen Aster suggested (Lady Astor, but she was much earlier), also seen Rose for my Rose (song) suggested. Not very happy with either.

BJ
John White was a footballer killed by lightning whilst playing golf
Question Author
Ahh, right. Sort of both, then!

Thanks for that radio stations clue, JimJools - I've sorted that one out now.

Just No. 55 to go now, and the flower for a likely lady to decide upon. The closing date for this one is looming, and I don't like sending them in with blanks unless I really have to.

BJ
Sorry - about the golfer confusion. I don't know why I put golfer :-/ I knew he was a footballer. I suppose it was because he was playing golf at the time of the incident. That's my excuse anyway. :-))

Mine's gone now - I put "Rose" for 48 but not convinced. still to late now.
John White was not a striker but a midfield creator.
