Just two left that are puzzling me

13d There's a passage about Art Nouveau. It's unintelligible (6) ?T?A?T everything seems to point to it being ATRAST - new art in the middle of a street - but I know not such a word?

16d They're very high, for the hearing of dogs (5)TE?ES

16d - peaks. sounds like pekes(dogs).

and sneer is correct

21a - sneer.
I now see that 16d should be pekes and not peaks.Got the clue the wqrong way round.
