20D Horese that shouldnt run fast ?U?T?R hunter? 21d In a little while again tips over ?N?N anon? 5ac Catch thats no hadder ?A?P hasp? What do you think?Have I gone wrong somewhere?Julie
we've gone for anon & hunter-not impressed with clues-
any clue on 1ac about the train &awful cries etc which will help with move from desirable residence.
This is always the hardest of Sunday Times,Observer,
Sunday express etc
I wasn't too keen on 20d - perhaps it's a reference to the hunter-case pocket watches - a pity because the was an angram of THE RUN just waiting to be used.
As previously mentioned, the ST cryptic is a frustrating puzzle - the answers are seldom difficult, but the wordplay is often obtuse.
Can anyone say why 12 across:
Show a delight in capturing (6)
has any merit?
It's better than mine, sedge. Once again, how are you supposed to work that out without knowing the answer.
I asked someone if they would do the ST reviews for the blog, and I quote fom his reply "if the Sunday setter is still N**** W***** I'd probably better not comment - her style winds me up considerably"
