Think you mean no. 38 and my answer does not start with a C
do you need the phrase and the magazine Lottie?
The cartoon was called "True Humility" by George du Maurier, and was originally published in Punch, 1895

Yes it starts with a C but doesn't end in N
Do you mean the phrase begins with c?
My magazine begins with a different letter. I googled these words - cartoon 1895 magazine - to find my answer. It was the fourth item on the page.
These clues are a bit like the curates egg!
So gen2 why did you give an actual answer when Lottiegirl was asking for any clues?
good in parts ;o)
Surely , providing the actual answer is the best clue in the world . Besides , it seems clues were requested for Question 18 , not the Punch question .
jamie
Be careful swannbaker, after you get Tallulah!'ed you get podger123'ed. They watch your every move, even know when you're on holiday. You ask virgil. It's scary!!!!
Swannbaker, can you explain to me how "THE ANSWER" could be "THE BEST CLUE" ????
