Is it against the law to wear a full highland dirk and sgian dubh when wearing full highland dress.I am a Scottish bagpiper and I play at functions wearing my full highland uniform which includes a Scottish dirk which is a sort of mini sword and a sgian dubh which is a small dagger which tucks into the top of your socks and I was just thinking about it .I would be grateful if anyone can help! thanks

it;s not against the law because that would be discriminatory. I don't think you can carry the skean dubh onto aeroplanes etc, but you can legally wear it with your full highland dress.
And if you want the statute, for 'chapter and verse' I've given the relevant law in answer to your post under 'criminal' :)
Same applies to Sikh daggers, i believe.
