I have the above breadmaker which is fabulous. Nothing like the smell of fresh baked bread!! However, using the recipes in the booklet provided I find the bread/pizza dough to be very sweet tasting. If I use a packet mix then it tastes okay. Does anyone have any suggestions please? Thank you.

I know what you mean about the sweetness - some of the recipes given in my Panasonic recipe book have far too much sugar for my palate. You could simply try using less sugar. Here's my *amended* recipe for pizza dough (I omitted the milk powder, reduced the sugar and water and replaced the butter with olive oil).

1/2 tsp yeast
300g strong white flour
2 tsp sugar
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
200 ml water

Thanks jugglering - I will try that. Will have a trial and error session for reducing the sugar in the bread mix. Thanks again.
Here's my *amended* white bread recipe too:-

1 tsp yeast
500g strong white flour
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
25g butter
300ml water

Thanks again Jugglering. Would that make a 1lb loaf, sorry but my instructions are all cup sizes!!
500g of flour makes a 1 lb 2 oz loaf (ie medium size in my breadmaker, so yes I guess that's about a 1 lb loaf!)

500g is 3 cups of strong white flour btw.
