I have a morphy richards bread maker which is probably about 5 years old now and i used to use in on a daily basis with fantastic results but use it less often these days, however over the past year when i have used it the results for some reason have not been as good ie. not risen or baked as well as i remeber. Obviously i am using fresh ingredients etc and following the same recipes of old but i am wondering if there is a problem with for instance the heating element of the breadmaker and if so how would i know? It makes the same noises as before and appears to be working but just isn't having the same results? Any once expereince this or suggest a reason why? Many thanks in anticipation

Being a machine it will deteriorate with time. If it's working reasonably well, then try small adjustments to ingredients;less salt, more sugar, more yeast or some variation. Another alternative may be to use the machine to do the chore of mixing, then bake in the conventional way in oven
