Got mine back today and am around the halfway mark..Recognise a name amongst the prize winners think is an aber and I'm sure there must be others, if so well done and congrats. Thought the quiz seemed a long time in coming back, didn't realise John had had some problems, so here's wishing you well. I always enjoy these quizzes and looking forward to the next, thanks.....c

Well done smouse, pleased for you.

Charlie Chaplin for the Roller Hockey player !! Can't believe that didn't come up with Googling.. Haven't had chance to check the answers properly yet. must admit I did struggle a bit with this quiz but still enjoyed the challenge....c
smouse - Surely you mean everyone else has helped you to win a prize?

If you're going to admit that you received a prize, at least let's be honest and thank everyone who helped you.
I think you will find that smouse is one of a handful of people who are prepared to help others out not the other way round.
Congratulations smouse, can't think of a more deserved prize winner.
grandad - totally agree that she helps other people, but if you look through the questions, you will also see that she asks for help as well - so to say "I've won a voucher" is stretching the truth a touch.
envy boysinblue
i hardly ever come on quizzes and puzzles. You lot seem mean!
The Macmillan nurses are wonderful. Can someone please tell me how to get a copy of the next quiz?
Agreed. I never enter quizzes (not organised enough!) but am always glad to help - I enjoy the challenges and as I have said before, it is your choice if you wish to help.

I suspect Google provides more answers than AB and that most people get help from one source or another - that's why exams are still in existence as a measure of what an individual can produce.

Well done any winners out there!
naomi24.

The next quiz is due out at the beginning of January and will no doubt be advertised on AB. However, here are the details of where to obtain it:

"The quiz, again in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, will be due out on January 2nd 2008. Answers are due back by February 29th 2008. Usual gamut of questions, and prizes. For your copy please send 7 (payable to Quizzes for Charity) to QfC, 196 Telford Avenue, Stevenage, Herts, SG2 0AU. You are very welcome to post date cheques to 2nd January. A SAE would be appreciated. If you include an email address an electronic copy can be sent."
I am pretty certain I didnt get any help on AB for Macmillan
I emailed the Manchester Hockey club for the Charlie Chaplin answer
Yes I ask on here and yes I give answers and always give thanks
I have done the macmillan for ages and work very hard on it
The voucher will be for 5 and its 7 to enter so its hardly the reason for entering now is it

smouse...sorry my posting was not meant to end up in this way....c

boysinblue ...you really must be one sad person, I feel sorry for you.....I could go on to say lots more, but do you know its (your) not worth the effort...c
well done smouse. you deserve it.
Don't spend all your voucher in one go. LOL
BTW thanks for all the help you have given me over the months.
well done smouse thats you sorted out for xmas ha ha .Sue
no problem
I did give help on this quiz towards the end.
I think we each of our own ways of using this site.
I'll give any answers I have if I feel enough time has gone for people to have tried to get the answer and I do not ask any answers if I havent done at least 80% myself
If you care to look boysinblue I often say I have abandoned this one eg the 57 quiz, the logo and pics quiz because I am not prepared to enter using nearly all someone elses answers

well said smouse
and I felt better for it - lol
fordward - very presumptious of you. It's not envy at all. The enjoyment of entering quizzes (as far as I'm concerned) is to test your own brainpower against that of the question setter. I do not ask for anyone's help and am more than happy to leave an answer blank if I do not know. I think it's called integrity - perhaps you should look that up in the dictionary.
smouse - if you remember you were the one who had a go at me and I'll remind you that I do not enter quizzes unless all the answers I submit are my own work.
