This second week of the reign of King Grenmus the Great went like clockwork ~ but did you spot the clues? The Kiss, pottered and pockets all suggest the "Snooker" theme. Even with the chosen Link Words of Grenmus there were possible clues as I now reveal:

White WASH [Clue? Monochrome]
BRICK Red [Albert Dock]
Black OLIVE [Greek Salad]
Rest ASSURED [Don't Worry]

Three of the four links fell quickly, but one link in particular proved to be a real money spinner!

Well, REST ASSURED fooled nobody! The wave of attack from the Shrubbery Squad began with freebi 2, who was followed in quick succession by rogerr, burgess3334, cliffyg, sarumite & Dinkypuzzled all with the very same link. The game was barely 5 minutes old and I was already 12 points down! More was to follow!

Entrant #12 was kettledrum who came on-line at 09.08 with BRICK RED to pick up TWO POINTS to be closely followed by Jim of JimJools with a WHITE WASH to pick up another TWO POINTS! The fourth and last link of BLACK OLIVE held out until the turn of the hour until gen2 came on as Entrant #28 to claim the last Bonus Points.

Throughout the game, no-one scored more than two points and no-one claimed more than one hit ~ So who can be declared Hot Shot of the Week? Well, we can narrow it down to the three who doubled their scores to join FoxLee on four points after two weeks ~ that is freebi 2, jan1956 & JIMjools. However one stands out above the rest since he was only seconds away last week form having Six Points this week (if that makes sense). I think that Hot Shot of the Week stays with Jim!!
*** CHEERS ALL ROUND FOR JIM ***

The League Table after two weeks is:

FOUR POINTS: FoxLee, freebi 2, jan1956 & jim
THREE POINTS: miss meg on holiday this week!
TWO POINTS: bridgenut, burgess3334, cliffyg, Dinkypuzzled, gen2, LaneyB, paulineward, rogerr, sarumite & slaney

One slip by a front-runner and theyll be trampled underfoot!

This is crofter signing off for another week.
See you next week: Same time Same place

Until then: HAPPY LINKING!

:o)
thanks crofter and grenmus, well done jim
until tomorrow
jan
Hi Crofter! Thanks for the points!! - but sadly they belong to Jan1956. She has been suspended and I registered her choices as she was unable to do them for herself!

Well done Jan - hopefully that means you've got a further 2 points!
Congrats to all the point scorers this week and in particular to Jim - the Hot Shot!!

I'm glad one of my links held out for so long, well done gen2 for spotting it.

I will have to be even more obscure next week.

See you all next Saturday ;))

Graham
Thank you Graham and crofter. Fortunately I spotted that one clue (Greek Salad) but missed the others. Unfortunately I will be away next weekend and unable to participate (unless one of my mother's neighbours has an unsecured wireless network) so that rather takes me out of the running for this month.

Thanks again, gen2
Jim says ' Thanks for all the congratulations, it has taken a lot out of me and I'm going to need a couple of days rest now to get over all the excitment.'

Lol - Thats what he thinks. ;-)
Thank you Crofter and Grenmus! Well done you top three

How the mighty have fallen - a couple of months ago I was setting the links now I can't even get a point on the board!
Well done everyone ..except me!!! Thanks grenmus and Crofter. Jools DON'T tel Jim!! :-))
You and me both Alibobs. :-(

Thanks to crofter and Grenmus.
Me, too, Alibobs and Jools. We all think so differently - thats what makes the game interesting.
Well done scorers, and thanks Grenmus and Crofter.
Oh well! Still sweeping up the confetti.
Congratulations to the high flyers and thanks to Grenmus and Crofter.
