This third week of the reign of King Grenmus the Great was similar to the first week when points were hard to come by. I can now reveal the chosen Link Words of Grenmus were:

COAL Pit
Stop PAGE [devious but permitted!]
CART Wheel
Change PLACES

As with last week, three of the four links fell quickly, but this time there was no money spinner!

Well, the first points fell to the early risers of the Shrubbery Squad (do they ever sleep?). The regulars were on the button as Christiana hit a healthy seam with COAL PIT (no followers) and was immediately tailed by jan1956 doing CART WHEELs (no followers) and then by sarumite with CHANGE PLACES (no followers). Each of these three qualifies for TWO POINTS.

Single hits were registered by Jim of JimJools, Jules001 & Dinkypuzzled and that was it ~ until Entrant #40 arrived very late in the afternoon in the form of JMR27 with STOPPAGE as one of a very audacious set of predictions (including CuckoosPIT which made me laugh!). The last TWO POINTS were safely in the bag!

I noticed that Prescott asked if a second GO was permitted. Im afraid not (even if you were the Deputy Leader of the Labour Party) but if you have a partner who would like to take part, then thats OK! Also permitted are corrections at any stage!

Once again, throughout the entire game, no-one scored more than two points and no-one claimed more than one hit ~ So who can be declared Hot Shot of the Week? Well, one person stands out as being consistent over all three weeks so far and that person is jan1956 who thoroughly deserves the title of Hot Shot of the Week!

The League Table after three weeks is:

SIX POINTSjan1956
FIVE POINTSjim

THREE POINTS: miss meg & Dinkypuzzled
TWO POINTS: bridgenut, burgess3334, Chiefpanda, Christiana, cliffyg, gen2, JMR27, LaneyB, paulineward, rogerr & slaney

Are the front-runners doing enough to stay ahead of the chasing pack? Tune in next week for a thrilling finale!

Until then, this is crofter signing off for another week.

Thanks to all involved and well done to the scorers - hard going! Doing better on KM this month!
I told you I was going to be obscure this week!!

Well done to jan1956 'Hot Shot of the Week' and the others who managed to spot my links.

I promise to make it easier in my final week ;-))

Looks like it could be anybody's title next week.

King Grenmus The Great

Thanks again to crofter for all his hard work.
Steve says I had better watch out or I will be head hunted!

Well done Jan, Grenmus is too devious for me!
Cheers Crofter!
Well done Jan...I am still stuck trailing behind!!!
A re-title I think to King Grenmus the Obscure - far too obscure for us Hewat's up in the North!! We seem to be more on KM's wavelength - well Shazza is anyway! Congrats to Jan and thanks to Crofter for all his hard work.
Well done Jan - I've done my usual ZERO but Jim's still in contention. Thanks crofter and Grenmus and see you all again next week for a final attempt on my part to actually score. :-)
I very nearly put PAGE but deleted it as too obscure..........next week I will trust my instincts.

Thanks King Grenmus and of course, crofter.
Well done hot shot Jan, and all those who (unlike me)scored points this week.

Thanks Grenmus and crofter.

Well, there's always next week...

So no points for me then! Again!
