Are you using Outlook with your own domain name or another ISP?

What do u mean?? It asked me for a user name that would b used as the beging on my email addy and now i dont know how 2 change it!!
Sounds to me like you have got the server name wrong; eg pop.isp_name.com instead of pop3.isp_name.com
The service you are trying to use should have a website with a help section, which gives help about connectiong to its POP server.
go to Tools > Accounts, click the Mail tab and click on the account you want to edit. Select Properties and then select the "Servers" tab. Make sure that the incoming mail box reads: pop.(yourISP).com and the outgoing mail box reads: smtp.(yourISP).com. Uncheck to box next to "Log on using Secure Password Authentification" and check the box next to "My Server requires authentifaction" Hope that helps!
