I recently received a letter from Readers Digest, saying I have won a place in their prize draw.

There are two reply envelopes to return the draw tickets. One says YES and you have to suscribe to the magazine for a year. The other says NO.

My question is, that if i return the tickets in the NO envelope, do I have any chance of winnng?

About as much chance as getting struck by lightening and less chance than meeting God.
My mum and dad sent everything back in the YES envelope for years - they now have a library of Reader's Digest books and not a sniff of a prize.
Yes - those letters are about again. Every year without fail. What annoys me is that they say I am a customer of excellent standing and therefore have been given a further 12 entries. And, as an customer of excellent standing, I have access to the exclusive Bonus Car Reward.

Sounds great! But I have never been a customer of Reader's Digest, and do not intend to be.

You have more chance of being Mugged by a Nun than winning anything from them. BIN BOTH LETTERS!!!!!!!

A pal of mine who worked in the post office told me that when they took the No letters round to Readers Digest they didn't even open them they were just dumped
Yes or No you will still not win-get real
Many years ago I came across a crowd in a local store and found it was a prizegiving of a cheque for a substantial sum of money as the top prize in a similar Readers Digest draw.(The prize was presented by Arthur Askey, which will give some people an idea of how long ago it was - others will ask "Arthur who?) The main point of posting this is to say that the winner had returned the tickets in the NO envelope and had still won, so it's worth trying, accepting the fact that the odds are very much against actually winning. Unlike some, they don't pester you after you have entered.
A former colleague of mine knew someone who had returned the tickets in the NO envelope and still won 15k - I think the sum was
About 10 years ago, I worked with a fella whose wife won a three week luxury holiday in Hawaii. She had never brought anything from RD!

Thanks again for your answers.

I think I'll return them in the NO envelope just in case. It's freepost so it won't cost anything.

I will let you all know if I win anything lol.
