I have been phoned at home on several occasions about a so called free holiday i have won. The company call theirselves Easy-bookers, however i have done a lot of research into this company and i can smell a rat. Only tonight yet again did they call me, saying that i was to bring my partner along this saturday 24th feb, i replied why was he needed there when i had won the holiday? Are there any other people out there who have been asked to attend a prize presentation at Lakeside this weekend? I think we should all go & and let them think they have mugged us, then we should tell them to f***-off,they"ve been sussed! Gloria

It's probably a bait to get you to Lakeside for a hard-sell presentation selling a Holiday Club. This is an organisation that will charge you several K for 'lifetime membership' that gives the privilege of booking holidays that you can probably get cheaper in a travel agent. As to lifetime, it will probably go bust in a year or two.

The holiday you have 'won' also probably exists - however you will have to pay a 'processing fee', go where and when they want you to go, possibly at short notice, and lose your fee if you can't take up their offer. If you do succeed in going, there will be another hard sell presentation in resort.

Your partner is needed so they can play you off against each other and as some form of guarantee you can 'afford' it between you.

If you are good at saying NO and are flexible about dates you might get a cheap holiday. Personally ICBB

dont waste your time going, these people are experts at what they do, if you dont buy they dont get paid.
If they phone again tell them does it matter if your partner if bankrupt and see if they still invite you !
Take a trip to Bluewater instead and have a nice hassle free walk around.
Often these companies "free" holiday consists of flying out of Aberdeen airport at 3am, and flying back to Plymouth airport at midnight.

Oh, and the flight out is tomorrow.

When you point out you cannot make the dates they say "oh well, sorry, you have lost your free holiday"
And so you now register with the TPS guys to stop the unwanted telephone calls with these sort of things. This service is obeyed by the majority of reputable tele sales companies, so worth signing on.

Also offer the MPS as well to stop junk post mail.

Easy-bookers have suddenly become choose-travel.co.uk,and guess what,i can"t find their website. I have been told to collect my prize at Lakeside on Saturday 24th Feb, bring my partner, don"t go if your unemployed, they don"t want anyone without a bank balance. Last night i actually got another call from another so-called travel company, telling me they had good news for me, i said don"t tell me, i"ve won a holiday! Needless to say i told them to get lost! I think everyone should go down to this address ( Lakeside-business-village-Fleming rd,Chafford Hundred-Essex) or their so called head-office( 3rd floor Pembroke House, Northlands Pavement,Pitsea,Essex, and kick their a***s. ps, never stop to do a street survey, you get these idiots ringing you up all hours, gloria
hello gaynor
I was very interested you have ahd contact from the so called easy-bookers who incidently have changed name to choose-travel. I got a call last week stating I had won a holiday. In the post today I got a cheque from choose travel with the amount of 1499.00. this the amount we can spend on the holiday. we were asked to pay a admin fee of 30 pounds. we are invited to their promotion day this friday.
Ithese scams make so angry and think I might contact the papers to make public aware and to stop people being taken for fools.
hi ive just recived a letter from choose-travel with a cheque for 1499 stating that i must go to birmingham to collect my prize after searching the internet for there web site i was directed to this site,am i glad that happend it could of been expensive had i not read these posts survice to say i will not be attending there so called offices to collect my prize, surley some one should be able to stop this scam before to many people get sucked into more debt
Thanks for all the info on Choose-Travel. We also received a phone call saying we had won a holiday. Thanks to everyone on here we can save our time and money by not going to Birmingham this Saturday I'll just give the cheque for 1499 to the trading standards office.
thanks again.
