Printer is missing from computer

Hi, My daughter has a problem trying to add a printer to her computer. It appears that the window has gone forever! nowhere to click for printers.
Is there somewhere to download the info. or configure the system? We are all amazed that it's missing.

that has happened to me
reinstall with disc

Click Start/Run and type REGSVR32 /i SHELL32.DLL and click ok.

Then restart the PC.

yes, it reads /i shell32.dll
