No, its broke having been asset stripped by Venture capitalists.

Water and Sewage should be under the Government not under private enterprise unless private enterprise is simply doing the day to day management for a fixed fee with a fixed schedule.

Privatisation, what could possibly go wrong?
There is nothing wrong with privatisation per se (if BT had not been nationalised we wold all still have to have BT mobiles and phones) but not for such utilities such as water.

yeah some of the analysis seem to point to this
( borrowing to hump up the dividend - I wd have thought that was fraud)
milked dry by Macquarie as I recall (do they still own Southern Water?).

But privatising a natural resource is crazy. The water is provided free of charge, and repeatedly recycled, by God. How much mismanagement can be involved in putting it into pipes? Quite a lot, apparently.
