Heart failure is a word used quite a lot by doctors. It sounds dreadful, but it doesn't mean you are going to drop dead. My neighbour had heart failure diagnosed in his late sixties and died at 90. It can just be s warning to realise that as you get older you do have to look after yourself and take more care. Correct Medication and good sense can keep you going. And...

Before you panic too much, Bobbi, I'll mention that my BP shot up to over 200 bpm once (oddly, shortly after I'd taken medication to reduce my BP) and, several years later, I'm still here.
Further, my friend who lives in Italy (who's 76) has had frequent episodes of blood pressure over 200 bpm but she's still basically as fit as a fiddle and constantly gallivanting around the world. (She's on a flight to the UK at this very moment).
So you might not need to book the crematorium just yet!
All the same though, I hope that the doc(s) get your problem sorted out quickly and that you'll be dancing the can-can (or whatever) again very soon :-)

Okay, had an early night with some deep thinking about lifestyle change , no more Grey Goose voddie whilst watching Corrie with large house measures, I WILL lose 2 stone ( watch me) though never obese I have put weight on, I’ve been criticized by the usual ‘haters’ by putting photos of myself on here , usually an AV, but I don’t care , this has given me a wake up call, it’s my body and I’m almost 76 years old , I won’t be dying anytime soon of a stroke or a heart attack, just last week my BP was around 142 , pretty normal for someone my age I’d say ? Thanks all of you for showing concern but I’ll get the BP back down, the only problem I have is what the hell will Gulliver prod me with now when I’ve given up my wee vodkas watching Corrie episodes, he’ll need to look for something else to prod me with now :0)))
Pre COVID and last July , same outfit :0)
