This is what I have bought - first time I thought it was faulty and returned it - they have sent me exactly the same.

Years ago when I used the tape dispenser in work - there was a wheel to grasp inside the inside of the sellotape.

There is no wheel.

Would this one I have bought be for much smaller sellotape - obviously!.

I can’t see anything on your link.
If it’s a flimsy little thing it’s no good as a tape dispenser. It needs a bit of weight at the bottom.

I am just after looking at the link Clover and can see in "picture" on side there is a wheel but there is no wheel AGAIN in this new one they sent me.

I am going to have to send this back too. FGS

clover if you go into reviews you can see the wheel grasper - so there should be one there.

Tilly - that is what I wanted and I will get one of the heavy duty ones but inspite of that - there should have been a wheel.

You'll see that tape dispensers with a wheel inside them (for the tape to grip onto) are often described as 'heavy duty' models. With such models, you need to ensure that the size of the wheel matches the size of the tape that you're using. The one you've bought is more of a 'general purpose' model, which is designed to be used with any size of tape but (because of the absence of a wheel) might not work quite as smoothly.

These dispensers include the wheel that you mentioned but you need to take care to ensure that you get the right size for the reels of tape that you use:

thanks Chris for that link but as you can see everyone of them have that WHEEL.

I will just get one in some shop - then I can see what I am buying.

As I said my last tape dispenser from work weighed a ton - it was brilliant and thats it was I was looking for.

Using a tape dispenser takes all of the fun out of wrapping presents though! It's just not the same without spending a bit of time cursing because the end of the tape has disappeared from view yet again ;-)

That is for the usual household size. Not for the extra wide or long skinny ones

It looks like you bought a cheap version of not good quality, you will have to spend a little more for want you want.
