It’s Friday again and, as Tony is back from his hols at last, we can get back to what passes for ‘normality’ here ;-)

The golf question caught me out in the main quiz but otherwise I had a smooth passage this week. SIX out of seven.

The junior quiz is really easy this week (as it should be - it’s meant for kids after all!). The music question is one that I’m sure that everyone here (of ‘a certain age’) will get right but I wonder how many youngsters will know about the bands from over half a century ago? FOUR out of five for me:

It’s one of those rare weeks where I could actually manage better than half marks in the timed teaser too. SEVEN out of ten for me:

If I found all three quizzes fairly easy this week, I’m sure that you lot will all find them an absolute doddle. Er, won’t you?
;-)

At least you're a near-perfect kid, anyway, Sandy ;-)
Four and four.
Five on the timed.
The same score as you on each quiz, 6, 4 and 7.
Question Author
Decent scores, Cashier. Well done!

Welcome to the elite, Milo2 ;-)

...With a couple of guesses.
Evening Chris.

I wonder if I'll EVER be able to beat the mighty Lie-in King? He's matched me on my first two scores but then managed to sneak just one point ahead with the last one! (Grrrr!).

WELL DONE, LiK!

Good evening, Sam. I'm well, thank you, as I hope that you are too. You seem to be becoming an expert in achieving 'middling' scores every week!
5/7 4/5 and a terrible 4/10. Hangs head and slinks off to write a story about a loser. :(
Question Author
There have been plenty of weeks when I'd have happily settled for a score of 4 out of 10 in the speed quiz, Jourdain2!

Well done with some decent scores anyway!
Easy?
Well:-
3/7
3/5
2/10
No zeros
Hiya Chris ( has there ever been any normality here ) ;-)

Anyhoo 2/7, 4/5 and 5/10 for me this week.
Question Author
Good evening, Kwillmott. To borrow a phrase from Boris for your scoring this week: "Not brilliant" ;-)

Hiya, Tony! Decent enough scores this week, I see, so I assume that you must have recovered from your holiday hangover ;-)

While shopping in Morrisons yesterday, I made a purchase entirely upon humanitarian grounds:

(That's my story, anyway, and I'm sticking to it!)
5/7
5/5 it was really easy this week!
6/10
Have you tried one yet, Chris ?. If so what is it like ?
Question Author
Maybe the kids' quiz was really easy, Sharon, but you're still the only person so far to achieve a perfect 5 on it! Well done!

Well done with your other impressive scores too!
My usual middling 3, 3 and 4
Question Author
I'd not tried it when you posted, Tony, but I've just been out to my meter cupboard (where I keep my stash of booze) and I'll be able to report back very shortly.

Hmmm! Not bad! Perhaps not quite as much flavour as some Czech or Polish lagers but still a zillion times better than Carling, Carlsberg, et al! A bit like Amstel, perhaps?
Question Author
Hi Clover! Not great, maybe, but not too bad either, methinks ;-)
