it seems that the PM is a little beleaguered atm.

//Boris Johnson received a grilling from Mumsnet founder Justine Roberts and she certainly didn't hold back with the first question she put to the prime minister.

In the interview which took place at Number 10, Roberts mentioned how about half of the questions submitted by users to the PM were on the subject of "trust and integrity."

She then read a question from one Mumsnet user who referred to the infamous Partygate scandal and Roberts noted how this question "summed up the mood" on the parent-based internet forum.//

When half the questions from an Internet forum are about your integrity and you’re booed louder than Cameron and Blair combined you’d think that maybe the public have had enough of you?

Yet his fawning, blonde bimbo eye-flutterer sounds more like Queen Canute every day.

Lol.
It's like a broken record on here at the moment.

At a jubilee event?? Lol, are you Dorries in disguise?
apologies Finch, i know it's frowned upon to make jokes in news . . .

Apologies reciprocated, was unsure if it was jocular or not, hence my Lol.
Bozo seems to have unflagging self-confidence, if he thinks it's true, then it's true (right or wrong). He does not (and will not) believe he has done anything wrong (hence the grudging (non-)apologies). However at the moment the Tories think he is their only chance of winning the next election (whenever that will be), despite many of them not liking or trusting him. Two bad by-election results and it might be a case "events, dear boy".
wouldn't the tories win the next election whoever was in charge?
Well in my view he's certainly got a booze problem for sure. Slurred, stuttering speech, beer or wine belly,or both, along with glassy blood shot eyes. And I'm not joking.

Probably, but they might have a better chance without Boris who, at the moment, is unpopular with the electorate and quite a few of his own MP's.
drmorgans: "Tories think he is their only chance of winning the next election (whenever that will be)" - May 2024.
Sandra // slurred stuttering speech//
Nothing to do with a booze problem:-

They’re running out of time, their own backbenchers know it, Tobias Ellwood summed it up perfectly on the day that the Gray report was published.

Andrew Marr said yesterday that June will actually be worse for the PM than May, there is a by-election and the parliamentary standards committee will grill him with far more scrutiny than anything previous.
As Lord Hague said, he’s in real trouble and the fuse is getting closer to the dynamite, his words.
Just to be clear, other than Andrew Marr these are senior Tory figures commenting on his plight, not opposition MP’s, before the “Well what about Labour?” gang chime in.

The only noticeable speech impediment is an inate ability for telling untruths.
TORATORATORA, why do you think the next election will be in May 2024?
//He does not (and will not) believe he has done anything wrong (hence the grudging (non-)apologies). //

yes: no ! Half of use believe he DOES know he has done wrong and is lying - and that really IS a problem for him.

( it si problem for him because one doesnt usually vote for a liar)
// eye-flutterer sounds more like Queen Canute every day.//
sozza
even I knew that Cnut was a man

I mean you cant really have King Elizabeth can you? I leave aside the issue of Philip ( you know, phil the greek) as a living God

Your blinkers must be preventing you from noticing a predominant speech impediment.
