Thanks Hunkybridge! (And sorry, Newquizzer, but Quiz Questions is DEFINITELY wrong - I checked, at the same time as confirming that the Stiff Buy 196 question has a typo - second word is only 11 letters, not 13; leeway will be given because it's not our fault)

By the way, I finally cracked No 72 yesterday! I don't want to spoil the elation of working it out for yourself, but two more clues: (a) it's the tenth of its kind; and (b) the only website I could find linking the answer to the date is in DUTCH! Happy Googling!

stiff buy solution is

maurice micklewhite.jr

whatever will i do with all this euphoria? wheres the viagra

Glad you got there in the end, Brian - worth it, wasn't it? (I actually rang the place to check when it was established - and they had to look it up!)

With a closing date of February next year, I don't reckon I ever stood much chance of winning. Still, it's been great fun completing it - and I understand that, if you're feeling REALLY masochistic, you can get copies of the last 9 years' competitions from Mrs Kallend!

Good luck!

Hi dlp,

Thanks for the extra clues, have been searching for days and have now cracked it. Yippee, now I can get on with something else :)
