It's not unusual.

Not unusual at all, many dogs do too.

She gallops around like a racehorse when she's had some.
Not at all. Lots of cat treats contain cheese. e.g. https://www.gardenandpetsupplies.co.uk/products/dreamies-cat-treats-with-cheese-mega-tub-350g

One of my three loves cheddar. The other two aren't bothered (but they still like cat treats with cheese in them).
It's only processed milk after all.
Dogs and cats have a problem digesting cows milk so if you want to give your cat a cheesy treat get some goats cheese (or milk).
My cat likes bakery products - bread, cake, crumpets, whatever he can get his paws on.
My cat's not too fussed about cheese but does enjoy sharing my egg custard tart. :-)
Our cats reckon if its good enough for us, its good enough for them and will have a go at any food so we have to be careful what we leave lieing around. All but one like cheese, not extra mature, one has a liking for prawn crackers.

Whatever it is if it's in a cat bowl at the feeding place, it's a bit suspicious and might be refused.

If it's on a plate or bowl on a table, then it's the most desirable thing ever.
so does mine !!
my cat liked cheese, can't remember how much i gave him, but perhaps little bits off the plate. never in a bowl on the floor.
The only way I can get a tablet down my cat is to wrap it in a piece of cheese
Not all cats have problems digesting milk, if cheese doesn't cause vomiting, constipation or diarrhoea then it's fine.
my cat knows what is on my plate is mine, what's in my mouth is mine, but everything in between is fair game

I bet if you leave the room with food on your plate, Bednobs, normal rules would be ignored.
Watching a video on Youtuibe last night in which a dog was salivating as it's owner peeled an orange. "Won't eat that," i thought to myself. Yet it wolfed it down, segment by segment. I've only ever owned one dog that liked fruit (apples) but have never known one to eat an orange?
My previous dog would eat most foods but not pickled onions.
Swear a cats fave ched is string cheese... geddit?
Good for your dog Ken, pickled onions are seriously bad for dogs.
ayoooo maybe ur cat is waiting for a mouse with baited breath
