hello, danny, I knew it was' our' gracie she was my grandmother's favourite singer back in the day, but I don't think Rochdale is the correct answer, for I do not think there is a river roch or a river dale, apologies to the setter but I have enjoyed the quiz and I have answered 59 out of 60 but this one is beyond my understanding, and I would not be able to answer it if I looked at it from now until doomsday so I concede defeat on this one, I will maybe ask again in six months time , but it is a long time to wait when you are just one short, stay safe, hops

pardon me, there is a river roch, so you will be right danny, I was looking and looking and I knew gracie Stansfield was born in Rochdale but I did not think that was the answer, I was obviously overplaying it, it is the only question out of the 60 that is framed like that, the other 59 have to be deduced in some way, stay safe all. hops

Unbelievable! Why do people ask for answers when the quiz closes in 7 months time?!
These are great quizzes and setter specifically states no asking prior to oct. 21st.
Also asker is not being entirely honest in saying it is a "local" quiz and not stating any other particulars according to AB rules.

I doubt that she would, but listen if you want to help the buxton mountain rescue team contact mrs g halliday, 'lorien' main road, Stickney, boston, Lincolnshire pe22 8ag where I am sure she would love to send you a copy of her quiz, the more the merrier.

I have also respected her requests not to ask for help on quiz sites.

I have a different opinion to you,the quizmaster and others, I think the more you ask for help on sites like this the more advertisement the quiz gets and the more people join in, i usually leave others to jump in and tell everybody which quiz it is and when the closing date is, they seem to be expert at it. the other two quizzes that i support have seen their clientele shoot up in the last 4 years and the dingbat one especially had record numbers this last year, if everything is hushed up and people say you can't do this and you can't do that the quiz never extends beyond its local bubble,

Please ask the opinion of quizsetters who have stopped compiling quizzes due to inconsiderate people asking questions on websites and reducing sales.
Lost many a good quiz due to lazy competitors asking too much!
