So I've tested positive for Covid. I was exposed to the virus one week ago.

No temperature, no cough to really speak of, no anosmia ... just a very runny nose, aching joints and muscle cramps and sore eyes. The eyes are quite sore but all other symptoms are on the mild end of the scale.

Is this the calm before the storm or have I got off lightly?

My husband and son are presently asymptomatic.

Thankfully, you have it mildly, CG, and I'm pleased to see you acknowledge it as such. Much more sensible than making a drama of it unnecessarily. Scaremongering helps no one. I wish you well.

Sorry to hear that LCG. As you are quite young, I hope you'll be ok. You haven't any underlying health conditions have you?
Hope these are your only symptoms, get well Lcg

No ILM, thankfully.

Thanks. I'm still working from home for now.
What made you decide to get tested?
I know a family of three who live near to me. Mum, Dad and young daughter. The Mum (about your age) caught it after going to hospital for stitches to a bad cut. She stayed in bed for a week, but only had minor symptoms and then had to self isolate for a time, then she was absolutely fine. Neither her hubbie or daughter caught it. Hopefully, you'll be the same LCG.
No CG it looks as though you may well havegor away with a relatively mild response.
Take care .

I came into contact with someone who tested positive, Barsel.

I developed symptoms 3 days later and tested positive at day 5.
My daughter had it in a March ( very poorly) son in law and grandson....nothing !!
I got Mumps when I was ten and vividly remember having sore eyes. The pain was quite bad - I still remember it 47 years later.

You have my sympathy.
Hope things stay as mild as they sound (though sore) and clear up soon.
Take care LCG. I hope all goes well.
Hope you feel better soon.
Speedy recovery, Lady....x
