OH and I are going for a Thai tonight and I'm out tomorrow with a colleague for a drink and a bite to eat. Sunday we're going to look at wardrobes for the bedroom and dressing room.

Other than that, I'll relax, read, and cook meals for the freezer for a rainy day (with no kitchen).

Anything exciting on your agenda?

Blimey, is no one doing anything this weekend?
Not much.

My son and his GF are coming round for Sunday dinner, that's about it.
Question Author
That's still something to look forward to though, isn't it?

I haven't got the facility to cook for people at the moment, unless it's a burger and chips or something else that can be eaten off your lap. I had my parents up a couple of weeks ago and took them out for Sunday lunch but would rather have cooked for them.
Emptying the clotheshorse and then refilling it.
Cooking a meal this evening, something pasta based as I don't feel like doing too much.
Wrapping a parcel to send to a friend and just usual domestic chores.
Nothing interesting. Not going out and not seeing anyone.
Hope everyone else is doing better than me.
Yeah...they are great fun. Nephew is here as well and him and my son have been friends since they were tiny so the banter is always good.
Would it be worth investing in a two burner gas picnic thingy? or a cheap microwave. If you lived nearer I have both you could have.
Question Author
That's very kind of you, Lady-J. We actually have two microwaves, so that's the idea of making lots of homemade meals now to see us through when we finally get round to ripping that monstrosity of a kitchen out.

Banter is good. Generally there's lots of it when we see my parents. They are a little less conservative than my husband's parents.
Son in Law coming round to change a light bulb - that will be illuminating :-)

He sounds like a sparky lad... (I'll get me coat!)
Mamy so glad that at last you will be seeing the light.
Halleluiah Sister.
life admin incoming :(

I'm not sure what that means, bednobs (sorry if I'm being thick).
you know, stuff you need to do to keep life moving along that you don't enjoy - food shopping, housework, replying to personal emails, replacing worn out towels etc. Alll the stuff I don't have time for while im working and don't have the energy for in the evenings but need doing nonetheless
Well I am trying to catch up with work after several weeks of dodgy internet and dodgy arm. Why I think I am going to catch up 3 weeks' of hell in two days is anyone's guess. I am clearly being over optimistic.

Oh and I have to cook lunch on Sunday since it is Mr's birthday on Monday. Thank goodness for Waitrose and their pre-made cakes.

And I have to tidy the house. Although I'm inclined to think "knickers to it", particularly as we could be moving very soon!
the problem with cleaning the house is it just gets dirty again
I quite enjoy cleaning.
Question Author
I certainly know all about that, Bednobs. I have such a long to-do list, it's not even funny. Sometimes I don't stop from 5:30am until 8:30pm and by then I'm too exhausted to carry on and jobs get put to one side.
