Thank you Andy , daughter, son in law and grandson will go by car with luggage as we have senior railcards , so here’s hoping , it’s something to aim for in these dark days
That sounds very enjoyable bobbi. Hope you manage to have a wonderful time.

Thank you LJ, hope your girl is fully recovered now ?
I hope so x you've already missed out a lot.
Apparently, it's not the done thing to travel for holidays in the UK. I would love to go home to the Devon coast but the police are enforcing the no travel rule (apart from essential travel) and they are turning people away and sending them back from where they came.

Me either but I’m thinking positive,
Hope your job prospects get better too 237SJ
Yes she is and went back to work yesterday. Regardless of ppe supplied she is sanitising everything she comes into contact with just in case it is possible to get a second dose.

Envy you your trip as most of my family is in Kent and no chance of me going. When you get there just give them a wave and say I love and miss them. Thanks.
Thanks. I don't care too much about my job prospects as I think 'they' can stick their job up their ***. Anyway, I hope I can get home this summer but I'm not hopeful.

My sister lived there all her married life, Whitstable ,Sidcup, Maidstone and Seasalter

Arh 237SJ,you must feel very disillusioned, I hope you get home too
Police are still turning people back round here as nothing is open - no pubs, no cafes, no restaurants, no public toilets, no beach guards and a lot of the beach carparks are closed. Some have come down and several have had to be rescued by Coast Guards as they have ignored signs warning them of rip tides. As far as I can gather they are not very welcome in the local shops. We need visitors down here but not at the moment.
