Walking alone in my local park, seeing someone in front ( or behind ) and stepping to one side or even crossing the path to keep away , strange times indeed

I find the same but sometimes you both smile at each other acknowledging the situation and it sort of brings you together.

Yes there is that in it Rosie, a self conscious smile , a hello and move on
Well I've had an odd day, hiding in my bedroom while two guys fitted a new boiler for me. Now I have to start my self isolation again. I'm worried sick they've left some little germans on my door handles and/or light switches etc. Damned boiler would have to pack up now.
Worse when they don't move to one side. An affront ...
Handed the bus driver my return ticket from work yesterday and he wouldnt even take it from me, just said 'get on'.
oh I get quite alot of - "noli me tangere " ( do not touch in ancient forrin)
"oh la Sir, you are too near!"

and tap tap tap - people usually women in a Great Hurry and for what ? no one is doing anything ....

oh and I have been shouted at - as I shuffle along usually with the dog

TL, a bus? We aren’t allowed , haha
I got off an elevator today and when the door opened there were a couple of people waiting to get on. I held my breath and then exhaled when I was well away from them. Crazy eh?...Well, maybe not.
I find that most people seem to step well to one side when I'm in the park anyway:

PP “for Caesar’s I am and wild for to hold though I seem tame.”
ladybirder, you are not alone, my immersion heater packed up at the weekend, So far can't get anybody to replace it.
Ladybirder, you could spray and wipe all of your surfaces, or you could relax and think ‘whatever’. What else can we do? Crazy times
Yes CJ, I have done things like switches and door handles and wherever they might have been but as I had to stay in the bedroom I didn't see what they touched. So now I shall be worried sick for the next 14?? days before I know I'm all clear.
I was lucky to get it done so quickly but I don't feel lucky. £2000 plus lost my isolation.
Did they fit a new boiler in one day, start to finish, ladybirder? If so, that seems pretty impressive to me. It's going to get really cold from tomorrow, so I think you'll be very thankful you got it done. I think that outweighs any worries you might have about what they might have left behind - not worth worrying about.
Just bask in the warm glow from those radiators blasting away......:)
I queued a very civil 2m apart to get into the supermarket today; but once inside it was a free for all. I despair at people, I really do. Bloody idiots. I'm not going again. I told Mr BM we will starve before I have to do that anytime soon.

Yes Brainiac, they've been brilliant. It stopped working teatime Wednesday. I texted the plumber, he came out Thursday, went off to get a boiler and sent two of his lads to install it today. It took from 8.15am to 3.30pm.
