Another project with a guaranteed massive cost over run

Look at HS2 and it has not even got off the ground yet

What would be the benefit of this bridge ?
think we should stick to ferries, bridge will never work over irish / north sea and if it did would cost a lot of money and block a shipping lane.
I was thinking of the Euro army with tanks, jackboots and nebelwerfers etc TTT.
Why is the Taoiseach getting involved?
shoota it was Eire that sided by Germany in WW2
You do talk some shiita, Shoota.
TCL he is the prime minister and entitled to his right to speak.
The proposed bridge won't be in his country will it? He's saying the UK will need to pay for it but why would the UK be expecting anything else?
Tony V - Eire was neutral but sympathetic towards the Allies.
Mozz - If you take everything I write at face value you probably have a point...

shoota: "ony V - Eire was neutral but sympathetic towards the Allies. " - is that why deValera signed Hitler's book of condolence?
I agree about shoota ! Utter Bullsh!t

TCL: "The proposed bridge won't be in his country will it? He's saying the UK will need to pay for it but why would the UK be expecting anything else? " - yes, odd one that! I think it would be a great infrastructure investment costing less than 2 years EUSSR dues. Also ROI will be grateful to have a land connection when they leave the EUSSR.
The only ones who want the bridge are the DUP.
IMO, Boris is pretending to consider it just to appease the N.I Unionists as he let them down so badly
Perhaps when Scotland become independent .. the Irish will be able to collect their EU farming subsidies, then drive their livestock across the bridge to Scotland where they will claim the sudsidies for a second time .. due to the cattle having dual nationality !

sadly TonyV many Irish people don't know about their former collaborations. Probably passed over in schools.
