there will be huge leaps in human augmentation. Given a scale from completely human to completely machine, how far would you choose to augment yourself with robotics? What parts would you augment and why? Keep it clean folks.......

I would not choose to have any robot body parts. They could be hackable, they could malfunction, they may not let me on an aeroplane etc.. etc..

We evolved to where we have for a reason. If we then evolve into robotics then fair play.. but I shall watch the world evolve without me.
Only replace what goes wrong. Would need a lot of consideration to have unnecessary surgery.

This is hard work.....ok ....use it or lose it as they say......
If it is hard work why bother posting.
I'd rather not robots of any kind take over from humans, the job losses would be horrendous
BF, perhaps folk have better things to concern themselves with? When are these "huge leaps" going to happen?
They have already started to happen for sure. People have bionics.

Huge leaps are happening at this very moment. Some people already have 'robotic' parts in their bodies.
However, this is a somewhat light-hearted question to promote light-hearted conversation.
I would consider robotic feet that never swell up and that have retractable wheels for when I need to get somewhere fast.
I would have better eyes, these ones are rubbish.

I agree on that, with a good zoom lens
Mind augs are the way to go. So that we can interface with camera and communication technology. It will happen. Nano tech will keep the body parts running more efficiently and run diagnostics and repair programmes. Even servo systems for increased strength and endurance will come into being, with anti aging and appearance science being utilised to give life spans of centuries instead of decades. If you ever read the sci fi books written by Neil Asher you will have an idea of what the human condition can achieve. The first people to be brave enough to take the AI augs will have a huge advantage initially over those who do not. Who do not because they are afraid of it, or cannot afford it, or are not deemed worthy of it by the people who will be in charge of the process. Sign me up.
Robotic working eyes will do me too.
Robotic feet would need to be re-booted every so often.
A slimmer waist would do me!
^ also feet, minus bunions, that would be comfortable in stylish shoes
Retractable testicles
If that's not allowed, then a long tail like that of a big cat.

I would just sit on a bar stool gently swishing my tail.
Ta. Beam me up Scotty.
I don't ever want to be part robotic, thank you very much ..
Too late it seems. (^_*)
