Well the first two elements suggest Cockroach(e) but I have no idea where the cupper comes in
cockchafer?
Tilly!!!!

That sounds like cheap underpants ;-/
Tilly - Corrie's William Roache (aka Ken Barlow)
ozzy, just spilt my coffee down my front lol x
Oh dear, silly Oz!
Did you look it up, Oz?
Maybe I should have Tilly.

A very valid answer that fits some of the clue.

My most sincere apologies for being flippant.

(Have I grovelled and crawled enough yet?)
Could be atype of cockroach. Oriental cockroach maybe?
on Corrie- there are some William characters- William Brown (chesney's son?), Billy Mayhew the vicar, and there was Billy Webster.
Actor Bill Roach does seem more likely though.
What answer did you have in mind, himandme?
'before cuppa' suggests cockroach is the first word?

I agree but sometimes quiz setters are a bit clumsy
Are the answers all just the creature itself? You can get cockroach tea
Does answer have to be a creepy crawley or does there just need to be one in the answer.
I'm thinking of this new 'superfood'

Crossed posts with Prudie. I think Prudie may have it

This seems to be the 2nd post I've seen about setter error on this quiz (in this one there is nothing to suggest dropping the e from Roache which makes me think the setter doesn't know how to spell, there was one the other day about leeches and leaches)
Rooster = cock
Corrie's William = Roache
Before cuppa -
I assume cuppa is tea?
Before T is ?

Makes perfect sense.
so cock-roache s
Yes, makes sense- especially if answer has to be a type of creepy crawley
Quizmaster, there isn't an 'e' in cockroach.
