First of all let me thank everybody for your Good Wishes on our 6oth W.A. I am now walking in the same circles as jno i.e. after a phone call to Buckingham Palace (made by daughter) we have received a Congratulatory Letter and Photo of the Queen and also one from the Governor -General of Australia and one from our Prime Minister on the occasion of Our Diamond...

glad things went well, shaney. <prepares jokes about semi-colons>

neti, why don't you just put on all your underwear and jump into the pool to wash it? Tip in a pot of Dulux, they do about 17 shades of white so there's bound to be one that takes your fancy, and save yourself hours.
Just hung out another 25 pairs, really it's ridiculous, really must chuck some. They are all in good nick (!) but some are loose and some are too high in the body so will be ruthless!
lol@ jno!!!!
hmmm, see neti's bragging about her shelf again...mine wouldn't hold up a mini rara skirt. Hey ho I excel in other areas...probably. And yes, 25 pairs of anything is ridiculous, get them sorted.

Well done Mr S for getting through today & as the others have said it sounds encouraging...keep your chin up shaney.

I dragged myself off to the shops and did a bit of veering to the left...I went round three times before I finally managed to turn right to come home.
Thank heavens you don't drive Robi, you'd end up on the roundabout in Barcelona before you went back home!!!!

Hello. Just got back from my sisters supposedly to take a top she was going to shorten for me but she wasn't in and anyway I forgot to put it in me bag so will have to go tomorrow. Who's a plonker Moi!!

Shaney I'm pleased Mr. S is home again and having something to eat. Like I said before, my Mum had the operation and lived a normal life afterwards. There was also lots of help and advice with the Stoma and she coped brilliantly and was on holiday with us 3 weeks after her op.

(Neti If you google Stoma it will explain it for you.)
By the way that sounds good using a tiered skirt like a sun dress. I very rarely wear dresses. I'm a trousers and sometimes shorts person.

Going to do a mushroom Fritata for me tea. I think that's what it's called. Bye for now!

Changed my mind ~ sardine salad...:-)
Well, I am definitely a trousers person - good job really because my leg looks a mess. Nurse informs me that if I was 36 and not 63 it would be healing quicker. That made me feel a lot better. Apparently the area around the wound might never go back to a normal colour because of the trauma to the flesh. Nice. Not that I ever intend to wear shorts again, but ..........

Jude you sound like me. Went to Morrisons the other day to get the ingredients for a smoked fish chowder, got nearly to my turn on the checkout before I realised the one ingredient I had forgotten was the bloomin' fish.

Looking at jno's post about Dulux remind me to tell you about my embarrassing situation regarding the Dulux dog........................
Woofie, I have very fond childhood memories of Battersea Park :o )

Whoops will try it in another way.

I remember going to the Battle of Britain or something there and there was a Dome of discovery, will hunt out the old photo!
Question Author
I remember the four of us going round once then my aunt asked if we wanted to go again and we stayed on for another ride. The very first time I went on one but definitely not the last.
Question Author
I notice nobody has come up with a solution for me about Java so have contacted my Lap Top man. seeing him Friday,
Off to watch footie now ~ laters!! As the youngsters say....
We'll have matching legs then Lofty :) I'm stuck with a scarred discoloured leg .I rarely wear anything that doesn't cover my legs with their horrid thread veins and so on .My days of mini skirts are long gone :)

Cooked my patient his fave dinner ,Kassler with sauerkraut and mash which he wolfed down and he's now ensconced on the sofa watching the footie .

I do feel a bit more upbeat now that I know they have it all in hand and that it's not too long to wait .Of course in my mind I'm thinking ..have they caught it in time ....what if he had gone to the doctors sooner etc
But I must try not to think like that or I'll be even more anxious .

He's got the leading surgeon round here for these things and I've been very impressed with the good old NHS today .

Neti go and see someone about that knee. I've had both knees washed out and they were fine for ages . Starting to go again now though hence the cortisone .

Once again thank you all for being so supportive . You are truly special people .Take care xx
Does anyone else remember the Guinness clock?
woofy, what you on about again!!!!
Well done mr s, food soothes the savage breast! or summat loike that!
Nice to see you are thinking so positively Shaney and I think you have good reason to - I really do. The NHS service that Mr LL has had over the past 16 months has been second to none Shaney. For serious things I don't think you can get better and swifter attention. Both he and I were treated with the utmost respect and kindness and kept informed at all times.

Woofie, Yes I do remember the Guinness clock, very well indeed. Many a time have I been taken to see it by by Mum and loved it. I wonder if it preserved somewhere. I would love to see it again.

Oh dear, I have just read that the clock was scrapped

And I loved the 'Big Dipper' too. I would stay on and insist Mum and Dad stay on as well and go round as many times as they would let me.

And do you remember the 'Tree Walk'.

As I grew older friends and I used to make a beeline for the fairground every summer holiday, along with other trips walking around the Surrey countryside and climbing up Box Hill and enjoying a swim in the open air swimming pool up their, brrrrrr. Kids these days wouldn't be brave enough!!

Must go to bed!
