I dragged myself off to the shops and did a bit of veering to the left...I went round three times before I finally managed to turn right to come home.

Hello. Just got back from my sisters supposedly to take a top she was going to shorten for me but she wasn't in and anyway I forgot to put it in me bag so will have to go tomorrow. Who's a plonker Moi!!
Shaney I'm pleased Mr. S is home again and having something to eat. Like I said before, my Mum had the operation and lived a normal life afterwards.There was also lots of help and advice with the Stoma and she coped brilliantly and was on holiday with us 3 weeks after her op.

By the way that sounds good using a tiered skirt like a sun dress. I very rarely wear dresses. I'm a trousers and sometimes shorts person.
Going to do a mushroom Fritata for me tea. I think that's what it's called. Bye for now!

Well, I am definitely a trousers person - good job really because my leg looks a mess. Nurse informs me that if I was 36 and not 63 it would be healing quicker. That made me feel a lot better. Apparently the area around the wound might never go back to a normal colour because of the trauma to the flesh. Nice. Not that I ever intend to wear shorts again, but ..........

We'll have matching legs then Lofty :) I'm stuck with a scarred discoloured leg .I rarely wear anything that doesn't cover my legs with their horrid thread veins and so on .My days of mini skirts are long gone :)
Cooked my patient his fave dinner ,Kassler with sauerkraut and mash which he wolfed down and he's now ensconced on the sofa watching the footie .
I do feel a bit more upbeat now that I know they have it all in hand and that it's not too long to wait .Of course in my mind I'm thinking ..have they caught it in time ....what if he had gone to the doctors sooner etc
But I must try not to think like that or I'll be even more anxious .
He's got the leading surgeon round here for these things and I've been very impressed with the good old NHS today .
Neti go and see someone about that knee. I've had both knees washed out and they were fine for ages . Starting to go again now though hence the cortisone .

Nice to see you are thinking so positively Shaney and I think you have good reason to - I really do. The NHS service that Mr LL has had over the past 16 months has been second to none Shaney. For serious things I don't think you can get better and swifter attention. Both he and I were treated with the utmost respect and kindness and kept informed at all times.

And I loved the 'Big Dipper' too. I would stay on and insist Mum and Dad stay on as well and go round as many times as they would let me.
And do you remember the 'Tree Walk'.
As I grew older friends and I used to make a beeline for the fairground every summer holiday, along with other trips walking around the Surrey countryside and climbing up Box Hill and enjoying a swim in the open air swimming pool up their, brrrrrr. Kids these days wouldn't be brave enough!!
